ZoomInfo has a database of more than 600 million contact with phone numbers, email addresses (professional and personal), and other name-based data. The data is extracted from the Internet: ZoomInfo scrapes the web for data, thanks to its own technology or by using third-party softwares.
The scope of this database raises questions as to the explicit consent of the contacts involved. Are the users of the platform aware that their personal data is stored, resold and used?
Aside from the legal aspect which is problematic regarding data collection (especially in Europe), storage and name-based data reselling, there's a real risk of data obsolescence.
